About the SKILLS UP Project
The SKILLS UP project was designed with dual objectives:
- Training Adults: Empowering adults with the necessary competencies to thrive in today’s digital world.
- Training Educators: Equipping teachers with the skills to create diverse and interactive digital learning environments, enhancing the educational experience for their students. By exploring new digital tools and staying current with ICT developments, educators are better prepared to reflect on and adapt to the future of the teaching profession.
The YOU-YES! Platform
Central to the SKILLS UP project is the innovative YOU-YES! platform, a dynamic space for interaction and training for a wide community of adult learners. This platform offers a comprehensive curriculum through four meticulously designed modules:
- Module 1: Language Skills & Digital Skills: Integrating language proficiency with essential digital skills.
- Module 2: Linguistic Framework in Digital Skills: Understanding the interplay between language and digital competencies.
- Module 3: Learning Digital Tools Focused on Programming: Introducing programming tools and skills critical for today’s digital landscape.
- Module 4: Social Networking Services: Navigating and utilizing social networking platforms effectively.
Successful International Online Dissemination Event
To mark the culmination of the SKILLS UP project, we hosted an international online dissemination event that saw participation from over 20 stakeholders across Ireland, Spain, Germany, and Croatia. This event provided a platform for sharing experiences and insights into adult education and training.
Event Agenda:
- Overview of the Project & Skills-up Platform: An introduction to the goals, achievements, and the innovative YOU-YES! platform.
- Overview of the Modules & Activity: Detailed presentations on the four modules, highlighting their impact and practical applications.
- Conclusion and Q&A: An interactive session where participants engaged in a lively discussion, sharing their experiences and insights.
The event was a resounding success, bringing together educators, policymakers, and adult learners to celebrate the achievements of the SKILLS UP project and explore the future of digital learning.
